Chiquet fliquet

Gaston Chiquet Champagne Brut “Tradition” (22/07/2005) (Champagne) – Dry, dry, dry. Ascetic, almost. Yet it persists, laser-like in its focus, though it chills and then abrades. I come back to it again and again, searching for warmth. There’s none. But maybe it doesn’t need any. (8/08)
